Scott V’s 1985 Club Fuji

We’re throwing another red one on the pile today. OTSG veteran Scott V. has updated this 1985 Club Fuji for our enjoyment.

Cameron:

I picked up this 1985 Fuji Club Road 1789 Quad Butted VALite frame. It came with Dia Compe brake levers, Nitto stem, Olymipiade B115 road bars & a Fugita Conpy saddle.

I put it together as a (yup) 10 speed using Quando 700C wheels, Kenda tires, a new sealed bottom bracket & Pyramid dual pivot Alloy brakes.
A very light & responsive ride.

    Scott V., nice modernization of an old faithful!
    What kind of pedals do you have on that rig? I think my flat feet would be very comfortable on them.

      those are plain old resin platform pedals with shorty resin clips – just enough to keep those flat feet over the pivot point….

    Very cool Fuji Scott, not sure I have ever seen a low spoke count wheel like that set up as a FW hub its discombobulating and neat all at the same time.
