• Stephen S.’s 1980 Raleigh Grand Prix Mixte

    A week isn’t complete with out a little Mixte. Thanks to Stephen S. for sending in, this, his wife’s 1980 Raleigh Grand Prix Mixte.

    The Raleigh Grand Prix Mixte was purchased in Boston in 1980 as present for wife . She used it for touring (mostly Martha Vineyard) but now just for grocery shopping. New Seat, but everything else is original.

      My dad has the same bike as yours how muck would you think this bike would go for and it is mint

      In 1980, this was one of the very last hand-brazed mass-market bike frames made. Some of the brazing was decidedly rough on these later models, but they hold up well. A link to a bygone era, definitely.
