• theEgoist’s 1960s? Carlton Catalina

Rounding out the week quite nicely is this Carlton Catalina sent to us from theEgoist. A lot of good looking bikes this week, thanks to those how have shared. Now go ride your bike!

    1960s? Catalina Carlton

Bought if from a friend for $100. It’s all original, except for the saddle and tires. I think the chain is original. It’s in mint condition. Reynolds 531 tubing, French Huret components, GB stem, Weinmann brakes. The paint job was an early experiment in polychromatics, the brown has a subtle depth that awes.

    Thanks Ego

It’s a beauty for sure! You have a generous (and tasteful) friend.

I have a 1973 Nishiki in a similar brown color with subtle green hints. It also has the same type of wraparound seat stays.
