Thomas B., can’t go wrong with a 70’s Fuji! 15 mile ride with only air in the tires needed—who can complain, an instant “road warrior”. I haven’t been on many yard sale expeditions lately, but for me, that’s where it’s at. I have found my best and most inexpensive acquisitions by stumbling upon them at neighborhood garage/yard sales. Good find!

Thank you BeaterRezQ (BTW, nice handle). This is the second classic ten speed that I’ve found in the last three years. My first was a 1974 Schwinn Super Sport. Still have it. It claims a corner in the living room.

…ahhh yes, a 1974 SSS—and right at home in the living room where it belongs! TY on the handle, B”

Check your bottom bracket; if I remember correctly, the first two digits of the serial number are the model year.
Looks great! Mine (http://oldtenspeedgallery.com/owner-submitted/keiths-fuji-sports-10/) is still in pieces. There’s just never enough time.

Thanks for the info. Eventually you’ll find the time because bicycles in pieces will speak to you in your dreams. Either that or you’ll get tired of looking at the pile. Good luck!

Whoohah! It is a 1978 model. I thought that it may have been older. I thought twelve speeds began to dominate about then.

Nice bike! check http://classicfuji.com/ for more info on your ride. A little time with a buffing wheel and bearing grease and you should be set for another 20 years!

Nice Find Thomas, love the blue and the cool Nitto bars. I think engraved bars really class up a bike. I have a late 70s Fuji Royale frame-set sitting in the garage and most of the parts I need sitting there too, hoping to get to it soon. http://classicfuji.com/1979_10_Royale_Page.htm (its silver)
