Timothy J’s High-riding Bianchi

It’s Friday, and I think we all deserve a “tall cool one” (so to speak).  Timothy J’s and his extend-a-stem Bianchi are buying this round!

Not much to tell, it’s a Bianchi of unknown vintage or model.  I bought it as a frameset very cheaply and hung some parts on it that seem to work.  I suspect it is Japanese built since it has Suntour dropouts and rides just like my old Nishikis.  Fairly light for a 25″ frame so it likely has double-butted tubing.  It is oddly comfortable despite the relatively short top tube.

    I like it Tim.. to me, it’s states “I’m built to ride”, without say a word. Nice to hear you saved the frame, even though it’s tubing pedigree is unknown. Non-exotic steels love to ridden too, you know. If you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you? Do you find the extend-a-stem comfortable?

      Hi, Virgil. I’m not that tall at 6″2″ but as my wife puts it “I’m oddly proportioned”. I need a tall frame and a long top tube.

      You are right about riding non-exotic steel frames. All of my bikes are pretty ordinary, all are steel and all are large.
