      lol Hugh!
We have so many bikes out here, and NO rust or very little.
The ol’ snow birds pack up their bags come May or so, and rather than load and haul them away–they sell ’em for next to nothing or give them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.(bikes that were used very little at slow speeds around their gated communities)
I wonder how much the antique shop had to pay for it???
I have gotten to the point when looking for bikes, if it’s not nearly mint and under $100…I pass.
“Son, I’m tired of tripping over that old bike…please give me twenty dollars and it’s yours.”…..I was once told concerning an old 1964 Sears bike made by Puch.(mint)

    TK,
Your new-found black beauty is S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.!
If you ride it and make it your own, what’s $300? (half a months electric bill during the summer months?)
Nice find dude from your neighbor down the street,
