My name is Zach W. I live in western Kentucky. I have this beautiful Capo given to me by a coworker. And it came with a pretty cool story. He got it from the original owner who bought it in 1962, he took a month and a half long trip on it from California to Kentucky in ’63, and then put it up never to touch it again till 1994. Once I got it I did a little work like some newer tires and tubes and some grease and had it riding in a few months. The bike is equipped very nicely. Its built of 531 Reynolds, Agrati dropouts, the lug work and fork crowns were custom crafted by Otto Cap (founder of CAPO) and his brother and are some of the finest found. It is estimated 5,000 to 15,000 were shipped to California over approx 6yrs, around 1958 to 1965. Has Campagnolo record hubs, Clement Albione rims, Campagnolo Grand sport gear changers, Agrati half step crankset, Sprint cage pedals, adjustable Ambrosio Champion stem and bars, and Weinmann Vainqueur 999 brakes.
